History and Goals

Red Dog Carpet Binding is a father (Ken) and son (Aaron) duo with a major background in flooring installation. Kens' background in carpet binding started with carpet base in hotels as an added service to the carpet installation. Over the years he would maintain it as an added service but at a very minimalist level. Over the years the sewing machines started collecting some dust and were pushed aside altogether. That was until the family dog (Red) had a spinal stroke leaving him partially paralyzed. Since that moment the sewing machines came back out and we dove into the carpet binding world headfirst, as it allowed us to work around Red as he started his long healing process. We are pushing to transition from flooring installation to rug customization full time to. We have a great base in binding and strive to grow with our community and eventually open a small shop in the area. To us, binding is more than just work. It is our way of cementing our family bond, and forming a memory for Red that will live long after he is gone.
